Sunset Bill Up-Will Sen. Ellis Try to Include SBOE?

HB 1959 is up in the Texas Senate.  This is the bill that Sen. Rodney Ellis has said he will try to amend to “Sunset” (i.e.-subjecting the SBOE to review and abolishment).

SEN. ELLIS DECIDES NOT TO BRING HIS AMENDMENT TO SUBJECT SBOE TO SUNSET REVIEW.  Hopefully this closes the door on any other efforts to “sunset” the SBOE, for this session at least.

Weekend Update: HOUSE DEMS STALLING, SENATE WORKING

It’s Saturday, and House and Senate are both in session and we are also here working to on a few HUGE issues still left for this session.  However, House Dems are causing everything to move at a snails pace in the House in attempt to avoid a vote of Voter ID bill.  Senate is working and passing bills.
